Wonderful talk with Beck!

I had a fantastic talk with Beck McDowell, author of This is Not a Drill, yesterday afternoon about YA literature in the classroom. She has been kind enough to ask me to write up a bit of information detailing my program, so she can share it on her site and the site of others.

My passion is getting kids to read. Unfortunately, we lose student in the middle grades and struggle to get them back in high school. I've developed a three-part program that rescues many. It would be great if we didn't lose them in the first place.
